Inn of the Wyvern
This Inn was built by Martin Woodshaver in 1043, shortly after marrying his wife, Nora Dianze.
She was a great cook and many of the locals enjoyed her food so much that she felt the only way to make everyone happy was to open her own kitchen. Martin loved the idea so much that he added rooms to the kitchen so that travelers would be able to stay longer and spend more money on her food. As more travelers stayed, Martin wanted to make them spend more coins. To this he thought of ways to get the travelers to spend more of their coin in his establishment.
It has been 15 years since Nora laid Martin to rest behind the Inn and 3 years since the grandchildren of Martin and Nora chose to keep the Inn open when their grandmother passed away.
Today, Crelp Woodshaver, Martin and Nora's youngest grandchild, runs the Inn. He has much help from his Cousin Anna in the kitchen. She learned everything from her Grandmother and even studied the fine art of cooking from neighboring cities. Once a year Anna travels for a week to a month gathering new recipes, ingredients and skills from anyone that is willing to teach her. During this time, Caemila May, the bartender will take over the kitchen duties.
It is said that from time to time Martin and Nora can be seen looking down the hill, from under a great willow tree, at how successful their Inn has become.
Purpose / Function
Originally the Inn was built just to serve locals some good food. In a short time, it became a destination for weary travelers and adventurers to rest, relax, fill their stomachs and resupply their packs.
Design
The construction of the absolutely spotless Inn's cobblestone fixtures and the decor is tasteful, and there's clearly been some decent money put into its construction; the cobblestone fixtures are rock solid, and quite beautiful. The walls of the tavern have been freshly painted a nice royal purple color. A large nicely crafted painting of a dragon is hung proudly in a finely crafted frame near the bar.
