Elester

Elester is a magical medieval-fantasy world based around twelve magical powers in the creation of the world. Magical beasts roam the land and the few with magic are the discriminated maxems. Four great maxems are known as the elementals, blessed with magic of fire, ice, life, and death. Five countries span the land, each with a long history of wars and struggle. Each with different ideas on how the world and its people should be governed. People themselves split on how others should be treated The gate to all magic is the root of all magic, it was broken and reforged once, diluting magic and spreading it thin When a new magic emerges after centuries without change, the elementals are powerless to stop it. Countries doubt each other and all wonder if they can band to solve a problem the elementals can't.
