Mantle

-----+-+-Mantle-+-+-----     Relic of Life Creators, anything that comes from woods Treants [common], Nymphs [rare], Unicorns [extinct] Forests, Rivers, Ocean Isolationist People, archers, traditionalists+ anti-maxem (thinarek elves, but more pacifistic and weaker)     *Relic of Life gives those in Mantle the ability to recover from injury faster and better, increased agility, and things that grow in Mantle are sturdier are higher quality.   *The people of Mantle are generally giving people, trying to hold on to the old traditional ways of the first age. *People and Maxems still blame the other for the great war and the split, forming their own communities, schools and other. Though they are officially united and are under one Queen. *They believe themselves the best, due to them being the "original country" and having the oldest culture. Calling those from other countries also Mantlese, but treating them as others. *They are close-knit and an outsider sticks out and is given a weary eye. *Ironically enough, they are very giving and kind. If their words don't show it, their actions do. They are quite selfless when it comes to aid and many things are shared.   *All of the best medics and craftsmen come from Mantle, people that can often dedicate themselves to a fine craft and become masters. *Many people come to Mantle to train in their ways, though few are accepted and almost none leave (they essentially eternally study and only leave due to somewhere needing them specifically, like the healing tower in throne of Glass) - Wood craftsmen, decorators/designers, architects, medics, smiths, painters/scuplters... *They are also excellent foragers and hunters, being surrounded by woods, it it their main source of food, though they do farm to a degree   *The people of Mantle have a Queen, though they mostly rule themselves, believing everyone to be equal, but authority necessary. Things are mostly ruled in logic, with guards there as a way to ensure no one is going overboard. *There are representatives and mayors as the authorities of the town, but really just oversee everything. And they make up the senate *Everyone is ruled under the law equally *The senate passes laws and judgement, also looks over external affairs *The Monarch has power to create virtually instant laws that don't go against their ideals and philosophies, but it is high frowned upon. so they work alongside the Senate and the people to know how everything should be ruled, and regulate and oversee things, such as big projects and plotting the advanced for the future.   *Due to their focus on high quality workmanship and smithing, their scholars also have some of the most advanced technologies. Though keep a lot of it internal or secret *The people go through two years of schooling to find what they are proficient in. (Though all must participate in mandatory farming/similar for 2 years)   *Economy is based on their wide array of things, from ships, to bows, clothes, some unique foods, their knowledge and quality items.   *Population of 5,900,000 with - 300,000 in Illsmere and Ellesmere - 420,000 in the other majour t/c   *Their terrain provides plenty of cover and it slows the enemy down tremendously. Their knowledge of the terrain giving them a sizable advantage when it comes to defending their land. *Seldomly have they been attacked, and though they lose at the beginning, they are always eventually able to chip away at the enemy until the attack is repulsed. *They tried an offensive on Cordellia once which went poorly, and lead the attack on The lost Islands. Also an attack on Stenar to take the pass near their country   *Biggest internal problem is their population increasing towards overpopulation, their lack of focus on growing things is starting to get to them. (And they have a forest) *Biggest external problem is their lack of communication and trade towards other countries. (Though they would say it's the other countries lack of willingness to work together)   *The Unicorns went extinct early into the 2nd age, when the others were migrating (their horns are insanely expensive) *Their relationship with the treants are neutral-positive, they aid eachother, but stay out of the others way most of the time *Their relationship with the Nymphs is shaky, as the Nymphs dislike them for destroying the land, though understand they need to to survive. But they have been declining due to Mantle intervention in destroying their home.
