Elebria

Found over 2,500 years in the past, the world of Elebria is one full of magic and mischief. Gods moulded the world in their image and still settle areas of land around the world, keeping them as their own dominions. Those who grow bored of the mortal world seek refuge in the outer planes, a bastion of all they hold dear.   Minor scuffles between the gods happen on an almost daily basis, with small incursions into each others domain being a lessening occurrence as more gods leave the moral world, bored of what they see. Their power being absolute, they have control over all life on the world and choose what and when they intervene at all. The mortal races are only pawns in their grand plans that may span over millennia.   The creator races, that of Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Gnomes were the first races to hold sway on the planet. Making their settlements on the continent of Atherium. Through the meddling of the gods, there were constant increases of power within the races, until the first Elf held the magical power granted by their deity. This lead to the Eladrin to run the continent until the catastrophe hit the land.   The Magic Catastrophe was a major event on Elebria as the god that granted the elves magic was slain, and the new goddess of the Weave took her place. Hermata. With this ability, she reformed the way magic was learnt, and how one could be granted the gift through learning and innate rights. This caused a boom in the land where every race gained the ability to use the weave, slowly being gained over many years. The world is now a vibrant place where all beings magical can be settled.
