Mythology & Lore

Before the Eight gods, There was nothing. Nothing knowable by mortals in any regard. Who can say what lies beyond Chaos, Order, Life, Death, Justice and law?
Ataxia was the first god. Closest to the before times. He looked around and despaired. For it had no one to share the worlds splendour with and thus Ukase came to be. The two brothers rejoiced and made merry. Their merriment made way for a new god. Esprit came into creation, He's been the life of the party ever since. When life looked upon the world he saw it barren and started upon his great work. He breathed life onto the barren rocks and sea. He rejoiced as his creations flourished and grew but soon wept as their suffering became great, With no way to ease their suffering he wept. His tears falling and forming the Weeping Lake as we now it. He then felt a touch upon his shoulder and looked up into the face of Finis and Finis smiled upon him. She would ease the suffering of his creations and lead them to the here-after. Esprit smiled as he took her hand. They say he has never let go since. Life flourished, As did a new god watched by its kin. Philothea came into reality, complex and ever-changing. The other gods were startled by such a god. Philothea smiled at them and spoke thus "Wait until you see my baby brother" and turned to the world. The gods watched as the last of their kind was brought forth. Not one born of chance or fate but the life below. Lucd joined them as a reflection of hi sister Phiolthea. Time passed and the gods gazed in wonder at their creation. With their gaze distracted none saw the twins or how they came about. The gods turned at the shouting and bickering. Which quickly had turned to fight. The twin gods Canon and Creed remain locked in their bickering. Too similar for the gods to easily distinguish
The 8 gods reign above and we give praise for that.

Cosmological Views

Before the 8 their was something unknowable. Seek not what came before, For only madness lies in wait. The 8 formed this world and strive to keep it spinning. Our world is of the material, the great work of eight pairs of skilled hands. It is said that the gods have thier own abodes or realms.
