Elf

Elves are a magical people of otherworldly grace, living in places of ethereal beauty, in the midst of ancient forests or in silvery spires glittering with faerie light, where soft music drifts through the air and gentle fragrances waft on the breeze. Elves love nature and magic, art and artistry, music and poetry.
All elves are gifted with magic, although some choose not to hone those skills and instead choose the path of the warrior or craftsman instead.
They live in clans based on the type of magic they specialize in and the primary spirits they worship.

Growth Rate & Stages

Although elves reach physical maturity at the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood around the age of 75.

Ecology and Habitats

Elves live in a variety of habitats based on the spirits they primarily worship. Some elves live in forests, some live alongside rivers, some live in cities, and some live in caverns like the dwarves. The only constant is that all elves live in Draxium as they are forbidden from entering the Blessed Kingdom of Light.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

They can be found all over the Eastern part of Elarus, exclusively in the country of Draxium.

Average Intelligence

Due to their long lifespans, elves tend to have higher intelligence than other species.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Elves have significantly better eyesight than the other races and can see for up to 60 feet. They can see infrared as well as visual light spectrum which lets them see in the dark, although they cannot identify color in the dark. Elves also only need to sleep every four days which allows them to be active for much longer than other species. Their sleep is also more of a meditative trance which keeps them partially aware even as they sleep.
