Rincéad Seren (RIN-kayd SEH-ren)
Ian's Home
Perched gracefully near the cultural heart of Tir na nOg, close to the grand amphitheaters yet enveloped in a serene starlit garden, the home of Ian O’Bailie, Rincéad Seren, is a masterpiece of artistic and architectural fusion. This residence blends the elegance of classical ballet with the clean lines of modern design, featuring a facade of gleaming white marble set against expansive panels of clear glass, providing a view into the lush, tranquil gardens.
The interior of Rincéad Seren is an open-plan masterpiece doubling as Ian's personal rehearsal studio. One wall, entirely mirrored and framed with luxurious draperies, reflects the room’s dual nature—by day a studio, by night a cozy living space. Polished wooden floors with underfloor heating run throughout, ensuring comfort in all seasons. High, domed ceilings reminiscent of traditional ballet theaters amplify the sense of space and grandeur, enhancing the home's airy feel.
A state-of-the-art sound system and a small, private theater equipped with retractable seating and advanced lighting technology support Ian’s choreographic pursuits. This private space allows him to experiment with stage designs and lighting, perfecting his performances before they reach the public eye. The decor marries minimalist comfort with artistic elegance, featuring soft, neutral-colored furnishings that invite relaxation and reflection. Walls adorned with framed prints of iconic ballet scenes and abstract artworks capture the essence of movement and the fluidity of dance.
Outside, the starlit garden is designed with meandering pathways through aromatic flowers and soft grasses, leading to a secluded pavilion. This quiet nook in the garden serves as Ian’s retreat for meditation and inspiration, drawn from the natural beauty that surrounds his home.
