Ceardlann Gaoithe (KYARD-lahn Gwee-heh)

Iagan's Home

Perched on a breezy hillside covered with wildflowers and grasses, the home of Iagan MacFhionghain, Ceardlann Gaoithe, is a haven for creativity and craftsmanship. Reflecting Jake’s Celtic roots and his passion for weaving, the structure is designed with elements of ancient Celtic architecture, featuring stone masonry and thatched roofing.   The heart of Ceardlann Gaoithe is Iagan's expansive workshop, filled with looms and spinning wheels, each positioned to catch the natural light that floods through large, arched windows. The workshop is a riot of colors, with shelves stocked with natural fibers and dyes, each telling a story of Iagan's travels and the history of Celtic weaving.   The rest of the home is warm and inviting, with interiors that incorporate wood and stone, creating a rustic yet comfortable living space. Celtic motifs, such as spirals and knots, are woven into the decor, celebrating Iagan's heritage and his craft. The house also includes a small gallery where Jake displays his finished works, each piece a testament to the tales and traditions of Tir na nOg’s diverse cultures.
