Khymeron (KEE-meh-rohn)
Chazz and Andri's Home
Khymeron stands at the crossroads of ancient Muisca and Greek architectural traditions, a perfect blend of wood and stone that reflects the heritage of both Lillo and Andri. The exterior walls are crafted from smooth stone blocks, a nod to the Muisca’s mastery of stonework, while the framework and roof are built with sturdy, warm-toned wood reminiscent of old Greek mountain homes. Wide wooden beams stretch across the ceilings, carved with intricate designs reflecting the natural world—sun gods, rivers, and wildlife—bringing both cultures' reverence for nature into the heart of their home.
The entrance is flanked by two pillars that mimic the simplicity of Doric columns, carved from local wood, and standing against stone steps that lead into the central hall. Inside, the space is open and inviting, with large windows allowing the natural light of Tir na nOg to flood in. The hearth, carved from a single large stone slab, serves as the centerpiece of their shared living space, a place for gathering and storytelling. On the walls hang tapestries and murals, handwoven by Andri, featuring mythological scenes from both Muisca and Greek lore.
In the courtyard, a lush garden thrives, blending the orderly design of ancient Greek gardens with wild, verdant Muisca greenery. Paths of stone and wood weave through the space, creating a serene environment where the couple often relaxes, surrounded by the flowing streams and natural springs that are part of the landscape. Khymeron is more than just a home; it’s a sanctuary of cultural unity, where the old world meets the new in seamless harmony.
