Dar al-Tijara (Dahr al-Tee-jah-rah)

Alā's Home

Located at the heart of Tir na nOg’s bustling cultural exchange zone, where paths of different realms intersect, stands the home of Alā ak-Deniz, known as Dar al-Tijara. This dwelling not only serves as his residence but also as a hub for his scholarly activities, capturing the essence of his deep interest in trade and economics.   The architecture of Dar al-Tijara features a blend of traditional Middle Eastern designs with modern scholarly aesthetics. The home is built around a central courtyard, typical of Islamic architecture, which serves as a tranquil meeting place for discourse and relaxation. Surrounding this are various study rooms filled with shelves that house ancient scrolls and artifacts, each room dedicated to different aspects of economic history and trade.   The interior of the house is decorated with rich fabrics and ornate furniture, reflecting Alā’s regal and scholarly nature. Maps and globes are prominently displayed, illustrating trade routes that connect the various cultures of the mortal and immortal realms. His home also features a private museum displaying coins and trade goods from ancient civilizations, providing a tactile connection to his studies.
