Honey-Spirits

Deep in the high mountain forest hiding in moss-covered thickets, far from the lands of man live the minuscule and fun-loving Honey-Spirits flutter. Their soft silky golden bumble wing glistens in the specks of sunlight that seep through the thick sugar maple leaves of their forests. Although they have the warmest hearts, filled with compassion, they are still wary of strangers and the ways of men. Although they are strict pacifists, they masters of trickery, who set up traps to scare off intruders who might endanger their homes. For those kind soles or Maylen (Merry Men) who help Honey-Spirits, they are granted three blessings
The three Blessing:
  1. Health: Honey-Spirits offer those who are kind to them their medical assistance when they can offer it.
  2. Kindness: Honey-Spirits will leave gifts of their wares and offer to help with chores
  3. Hope: During times of trouble Honey-Spirits will offer as much they can to help those who help them.
Like many creatures of the deep woods, Honey-Spirits are gifted with powers of therianthropy which allows them to take on three magical forms. A Honey-Spirit can transform into a bumblebee, a Human, and hybrid of the two which is their natural form. Therianthropy is very dangerous for Honey-Spirits, for staying in a non-natural form for far too long makes them forget who and what they are.
As their names imply Honey-Spirits are skilled in the crafting of honey and beekeepers, but they are also master sugarmakers, butter turners, cheesemakers, and wax carvers. Living among the sugar maple and wild mountain goats, the Honey-Spirits have learned to craft the finest goods gifted to them from their natural friends and surroundings. Honey-Spirits spend their day mastering their crafts and helping their woodland friends.
