Norrath

Norrath is a flat world contained within a crystal sphere. The sphere has a single satellite, the pale moon, Drinal. A Second, moon, Luclin, once orbited the world, but it was destroyed leaving a trail of glittering debris across the night sky. Three other worlds can be seen from Norrath: Anbeal, Cordon, and Trorsmang. They appear as especially bright stars. Anbeal stands out as it is both the biggest, being the closest, and also for its red glow, for which the common people call it the Red Star. It is commonly considered to be an ill omen when it is large in the sky.
Norrath has three continents: Odus, a primal land steeped in spirit energy; Tharron, where much of Norrath's history has unfolded; and Faydwer, a land touched by Faerie. Norrath's fourth continent, Kunark, was home to the dragons, but it sunk into the sea long ago. A chain of volcanic peaks in the Timorous Deep is the only trace of the lost continent. The shallow sea known as the Ocean of Tears is also home to numerous inhabited islands.
