Eh-Rahdiae

Eh-Rahdiae is a divided world. Two continents straddle a nameless ocean with impassable mountain ranges at their backs. A few unpopulated islands break up the ocean but these are avoided by sailors at all costs, for sailors a superstitious lot.   The eastern continent is vast, diverse and largely peaceful. Memories remain of a war with the west but few residents think of the far off land other than to curse. The majority of inhabitants live in the north but as the cities grow, people are slowly migrating southward once more. The lands are largely fertile and hospitable with the exception of the frozen north and the Dark moor.   Conversely, the broken lands of the west are largely uninhabited with people concentrated in the northern third. The taciturn people reflect the harsh lands that they struggle to make liveable, blaming all of their hardships on the cursed easterners. The lands here are unforgiving and often mountainous. Only one southerly settlement exists, Theyrun, a place of exile and learning for magic users.   The only things that all inhabitants of Eh-Rahdiae can agree upon, is that magic is not to be trusted and that magic users can only be trusted if they wear the Collar and are Pacified.
