Port Delta

Port Delta is the capital of the continent of Egoset as well as the country of Voria. Port Delta is spread between the river deltas that form fromthe Voria River. Port Delta has a population of 68,629. Port Delta is a melting pot of many different races from all over the continent but most are Human.

Demographics

Most inhabitants are human (37%) followed by halflings (20%), Elves (18%), Gnomes (10%), Dwarves (3%), Other (12%).
Port delta is split up into 4 different wealth classes: Squalor (Westage Slums, Colosseum District), Poor (Somerjourn Borough, Hudcaster Borough), Middle (Carnur Block, Midtown), Noble (Basilica Square, Parliament Square).
Westgate Slums: The poorest district. Located West of Port Delta Westage Slums is a shanty town where residence live day to day. Westgate Slums has high crime and rampant drug use amungst the citizens. The town guard make sure the main road through the slums is safe for merchants and travelers trying to enter the city.
Colosseum District: A slightly less poor district compaired to Westgate Slums. The Colosseum District houses the colosseum where games take place on a weekly basis. This district serves as a common trade market where travelers can buy and sell cheap merchandise. Crime is higher here and drugs are common to find. The Colosseum District serves as the nightlife to the city but things can get out of hand quickley.
Somerjourn Borough: The Poorest district within the city proper Somerjourn Borough is home to the working class people trying their best to make a living. Here you will find many races all mixed together. Somerjourn Borough has many lowend shops along the main streets weaving through it. The docks to the south are mainly used for shipping with a few docks used for travelers. Crime here is not too bad as long as you are not in the wrong place.
Hudcaster Borough: The largest of the poor districts Hudcaster Borough is home to many different races of working class people. Many shoips can be found along the main roads throughout this Borough. Crime in Hudcaster is slightly higher than Somerjourn Borough due to its size and large trading warf located to the south. The trading warf in Hudcaster is the largest in Port Delta. Many warehouses and ships from all over Egoset dock and load here.
Carnur Block: a middle class district and one of the smaller districts. Carnur Block houses many merchants along the main streets. Carnur has a large human population with some other races mixed in. Carnur is slightly more wealthy that midtown having minor crime and not much drug use. People of carnur usually own their own small businesses and most work less labor intensive jobs. Carnur Block is known for its brothels as many can be found here.
Midtown: The busiest of all the districts midtown has lots of merchants along the main streets. The main jobs here are located at the docks. The docks in midtown are mainly used for travel and transport with some charter fishing available. Midtown has slightly more crime than Carnur and has a good mix of races living here. Midtown has lots to offer for nightlife as well as many comodetied during the day. 
Basilica Square: The artisan and religious district Basilica Square houses the Basilica of the gods, a large church dedicated to the major dieties of Egoset. Many come from all over to worship here. Basilica Square offers some shopping along the main streets but is also home to many fine craftsman: Jewlers, herbalists, masons, alchemists, etc... There are also some additional temples to lesser dieties to worship at. Basilica Square is home to many nobles who are business owners, port masters, traders and the like. Basilica Square is home to mainly humand with a few other races mixed in. 
Parliament Square: the seat of government for Port Delta and Egoset. There is a senate house with 22 seats (2 for each country) and a parliament chamber which has 9 seats where the justices of Port Delta reside. This district is very wealthy offering homes to few that live here. Many are involved in the government or have made their money through trade and shipping. Parliament Square houses a large library, a university, and a mages guild. Lots different races live here many of which are diplomats, wizards, scholars, and nobles.

Government

The Government is made up of a parliament which consists of 9 judges who run Port Delta and a senate consisting of 22 seats, 2 for each country.

Defences

Port Delta has a large Navy and a smaller army that defends from threats with town guards acting as the police force for the city itself.

Industry & Trade

shipping via imports and exports. Many of the shipping and trading companies are privately run and opperated. All types of goods are brought in and sent out through Port Delta with the largest imports being raw materials and the largest exports being finished goods (armour, weapons, textiles, tools, etc..), and food.

History

Port Delta was first founded as a small farming community that blossomed to the city it is today. First founded on the banks of the Voria river the city quickley grew as more and more farmers moved in due to the rich fertile soil found on the banks. As the city grew and needed to expand many city projects were set in motion to build within the delta itself. Many years of dedicated labor turned the land in the delta into livable land that Port Delta now calls home.

Tourism

Many people come to Port Delta to visit the capital itself. Port Delta hosts weekley games inside its colosseum and offere many a new start to life. The Basilica of the gods draws in many religious people seeking atonement and prayer.

Architecture

Port Delta has Barrack style housing (the 2nd/3rd floor overhangs the first) with the first floors being used a lot as shops while the 2nd/3rd floors are for living.

Climate

Port Delta has normal weather patterns hot and humid in the summer and can be cold and snowey in the winter.
