The War of the Stormlands took place in what is the modern day Dead Wastes. Here the Republic and the Imperium battled over rights to pillage Syleese, the capital of the Old Kingdom. The sides won and lost Syleese over and over, by the end of the war, Syleese was little more than a city of ruins, with neither side gaining the Artifact of Bjorn.
