Mapledell

Demographics

Mapledell is known for a mostly consistent human and dwarf population. Most of all the citizens are of the lower to middle class compared to the other citizens of the Republic. Of the people in Mapledell the largest profession by far and large revolves around the farming of the local orchards, everything from tending, pruning and harvest of the trees. Outside of working the orchards other citizens find themselves as simple carpenters working with the abundant wood of the local areas.

Government

The Village of Mapledell is overseen by an elected official known as a Senator; the Senator of Mapledell is Senator Arlei Bosh. As with most Senators in the Republic, she spends little time within the Village she oversees and instead spends most of her time in Volwick, seeing the will of her small town is brought to court. In her absence Mayor Gadrei Bosh runs the town of Mapledell and is responsible for upholding the Watchmen to their jobs and playing the role town Judge, as well as collecting the yearly taxes and dues.

Defences

Mapledell is a town that has rarely ever been under the threat of an outside force due to its' rather small value outside of the fresh food it supplies, that being said it has never been pushed to require defenses other than what the Watchmen that patrol the streets provide.

Industry & Trade

Mapledell stays afloat in the capitalist heaven of the Republic by mostly trading in freshly grown food from its' orchards that are distributed to the surrounding cities via trading caravans, that run the cycle of picking up food, selling it at neighboring markets, and then returning, but often not with gold as one might expect. Instead most money made by the farmers of Mapledell is reinvested into new equipment, or new land to expand their farming capabilities.

Assets

If one were to look at Mapledell for its' material value they would not see much. Gold and gems are not what runs through the blood of Mapledell, instead you will find mostly apples, oranges, flowers and fanciful carpentry work. Being a town of mostly the lower class few have the luxury of gold and general wealth, all but Dosh Farms and Ospick Orchards of course being the largest two companies in Mapledell.
