Session 008 Report

General Summary

Twig and Attila find themselves alone in the cart outside Cragmaw Castle. They search around for the footprints of their friends and make their way along the path. They attempt to sneak into the castle but fail miserably, luckily no denizens of Cragmaw were close enough to notice them. Brigid, however, does notice them and quickly takes out the mysterious orb from her bag and goes out to the door to meet them, surrounded by the silence ring that the orb emits.


After catching up on what happened, the group leaves Gundren Rockseeker behind to venture out and clear out the castle, they make short work of most the creatures in the castle, while freeing some others. They learn of an Owlbear trapped in the South Eastern spire and come up with some interesting things to do with it. They find Lhupo the supposed priest of Maglubiyet in the chapel and make short work of him and his acoloytes while having a slightly more difficult time with his pet Grick. Some investigation of the chapel shows that Cragmaw was likely built by humans, statues to Olandra - Goddess of Fertility and Growth, Tibrus - God of laws and Knowledge, Mystra- goddess of the moon and stars adorn the room. They have left goblin bodies pinned to several doors as a warning to would-be enemies that they are not meant to be trifled with. Currently all that seems to be left in Cragmaw is a room full of Hobgoblins who didn't seem interested in coming to the aid of their goblin compatriots and the Owlbear in the South Eastern spire...
