Emnakal

Emnakal is a small realm in the lower circle of the Realms of Air. Emnakal's most notable feature is the near realm-sized city taking up the majority of the land-mass. Emnakal's population shuns the city for its dangers. Emnakal's population is nearly entirely capable of wielding magic, with rare exceptions. Those born without magical ability are shunned.
All of Emnakal's citizens keep chronicles of their lives that are stored in a large library. When a family brings a child into the world, they stop writing their own chronicles and start their children's chronicle until they come of age.
Children born without magical ability are not permitted to have chronicles.
Emnakal was the land-mass the god Emkul was bound to. After The Age of Calamity  Emkul led his Rabi through the calamity with knowledge and wisdom. Emkul continued to teach his Rabi the old ways of spell-work and the use and development of Zan Machal. In time though, the Rabi of Emnakal fought among themselves. A faction left violence towards one-another behind, forsaking the city. Those remaining destroyed themselves, and Emkul's influence slowly faded away.
