Eight Districts - nine, once, before the Banishment - live as one unified kingdom, all connected to each other whether directly or indirectly, woven in sync like a tidally locked moon orbiting its planet around the sun. Each District holds its own rulers, laws and societies alike, though they are all organized and loosely governed by the somewhat withdrawn but kind and diplomatic king of the Rose District, Hieronymus. Tragedy and triumph both color the kingdom's long history, with travelers and royals from other lands all hearing of legends and stories of the Great Garden of Eden.   Eight Districts currently occupy each zone of the kingdom, all with their own culture, trade and government, and they all influence each other in their own unique ways. With so many diverse ways of life and attitudes coexisting together, conflict between Districts is inevitably bound to rise at times - the Rose King fulfills the role of a common mediator as well, in that sense, and a part of his title is the responsibility to maintain peace and balance between each District and prevent tensions from escalating to the point of the kingdom's further fragmentation.     Rose District   The most prominent and well-known of the Eight, ruled by the Rose King Hieronymus. Currently in charge of the other Districts, and frequently collaborates closely with royals from neighboring Districts to ensure fair and just rulership over the kingdom as a whole. The District's high notoriety and rank has often caused its rulers to become targets of many assassination attempts, most commonly orchestrated by a splinter alliance of assassins originating from the Foxglove District. Thankfully, these attempts have remained largely unsuccessful.     Lotus District   A District of water and refined elegance, second-highest in the royal chain of command and populated by somewhat quiet but amicable royals that prefer peace above all else, ruled by the Lotus King. Known for its rejuvenating variety of healing magic and excellent security, second only to the Rose District's near-impervious defenses.     Lavender District   Ranked third-highest among the Districts, ruled by Queen Willow and notorious for the primarily nocturnal culture and lifestyle of its citizens. This particular zone of the kingdom used to be plagued by a rather inaccurate and negative reputation due to its population consisting mostly of vampires and blood mages, caused mainly through misunderstandings and persistent rumors that had taken root within the Garden and spread through word of mouth.     Sunflower District   (TBA)     Foxglove District   The zone this District occupies is most famous - or infamous - for its highly saturated population of rogues and assassins, and for its distinct lack of any 'official', high-profile rulers. Many of the Garden's knights were originally from the Foxglove District, and it is quite well-known for its skilled and experienced fighters and combatants, though the District houses a fair amount of teachers and guides as well. The Foxglove District is generally seen as the most unstable among the Eight, and the Rose King has comparably very little power over its government - regardless, through the partnership between the Foxglove District and the remaining seven is incredibly tense, a war between them has never broken out thus far.     Snapdragon District   A wild and carefree attitude coupled with a fierce and passionate fighting spirit is one of the hallmarks of the citizens of this District, which houses both warriors and artisans of all sorts alike. A vast majority of the kingdom's Dragon Riders and Trainers come from the Snapdragon District, aptly named for its long history with domesticating its titular reptilian beasts and providing both powerful draft animals and loyal and exotic companions to its citizens and the rest of the Garden.     Orchid District   Not much is known about this District beyond what information leaves its highly fortified borders and what its somewhat aloof ruler - Madame Xuan - tells to outsiders, but its history goes far deeper than its solitary and closed-off reputation appears to reveal. The Orchid District, though still famed for it, used to be the most well-known for its scholars, healers and clergymen of unparalleled skill and expertise, traveling throughout the Garden to offer their services to those in need back when the District hadn't shut its gates to all but the most trusted visitors and royals. More recently, however, the Orchid District was thrust directly underneath the whole kingdom's spotlight when a mysterious and devastating plague known as the Black Rot appeared seemingly out of nowhere and ravaged the land almost to the point of rendering it uninhabitable, causing the demise of most of the District's royal family and the following closing of the District's doors.     Lily District   (TBA)
