Tillamook's Goods
A humble store filled with various outdoor gear and equipment. Built and run by Tillamook Krumnar .
Purpose / Function
The building was originally built to house the Krumnar family, but after decades of war Tillamook decided to go to Crakc, later deemed Sanctuary Wood, for refuge from the armies of the world. He disassembled the cottage and rebuilt it into his store and home during the establishing days of Seif. It now serves as a place for adventurers and townsfolk to buy wares and acquire knowledge of the woods. The back of the store is off limits to customers as this is Tillamook's personal quarters. Underneath the store Tillamook runs his own private brewery.
Design
The store is large and open, with the counter towards the center of the back wall, a door behind the counter suggests another room that Tillamook retreats to. There are three main aisles, one on the left and two on the right. All dwarven-sized so that the top of the shelves reach Tillamook's eye-level.
Large oak log support beams run up into the ceiling at the end of each aisle. The ceiling is open and shows more oak log beams and the underside of the thatched roof.
Entries
The only entryway is the single wooden-front door of the store. There are large horizontal windows running along the left and right walls, with wooden shutters attached to them that close of an evening.
There is only one other door in the room, behind the service counter, and it likely leads to storage and Tillamook's quarters.
Sensory & Appearance
Smells of great oak and a slight scent of barley. The room is well lit as sunlight shines through the windows, and it is easy for most human-sized creatures to see the entire room without taking more than a step from the doorway. It feels warm and homely.
Denizens
Contents & Furnishings
Adventuring gear, trapping and hunting equipment, basic tools.
Valuables
There is painting of a great gold and green dwarven city on a mountainside hanging on the wall beside the front door. Otherwise all goods are kept out the back.
Hazards & Traps
Tillamook has a hand-axe, that he sharpens daily, underneath the counter which he threatens and maims would-be thieves with.
Alterations
There are next to no indications that this building used to house four dwarves, it has almost been completely transformed to provide practicality for storing and selling trade goods.
Architecture
Completely made out of oak. There are windows on either side of the building, but none out the front or back. Large well-made wooden walls and smooth planked floorboards. A thatched roof supported by large internal oak log beams.
History
The original cottage was made by Tillamook's grandfather, Krumnar the Woodcutter, a few centuries before The Formation of the United Mountains, back when Higram was still just a small dwarven settlement.
It was later dissembled and then moved cross country on a four week journey to Sanctuary Wood, where it was rebuilt into Tillamook's Goods.
