Rathis

Rathis is an enigmatic figure, known only through a single, puzzling encounter in the village of Sprucedale. Following a fierce battle at the local inn, where the adventurers successfully defeated a group of bandits, Rathis made his sudden and unexpected appearance. He arrived almost as if drawn by the death of the last bandit, accompanied by two minions draped in black robes and wearing iron masks, their entire forms concealed in an unsettling yet silent manner. Rathis and his minions approached the scene with a calm and deliberate demeanor, showing no signs of hostility or ill intent. Their purpose, while unclear, seemed focused solely on performing a service: the collection of the bandits' corpses. With an eerie yet unthreatening efficiency, Rathis and his minions gathered the bodies, carrying out their task with professionalism.   Before departing, Rathis offered Fern, one of the adventurers, a blood-red coin. The gesture, a form of payment for delivering the final blow to the last bandit, was as perplexing as it was unsettling. Yet, despite the ominous nature of the coin and the mysterious circumstances, Rathis exhibited no malice. Instead, he simply fulfilled his role, whatever that may be, and vanished along with his minions and the corpses, leaving the adventurers with a sense of curiosity rather than fear.
