Ecko

OVERVEIW

Ecko is a disease that has slowly been spreading throughout all humanity for hundreds of years. Commonly regarded as a congenital disease transferred from parent to child hereditarily, specific population numbers are hard to grab but it's estimated in high population areas its about 15% of the population. The main leader in research is the E.I.R.O, but much of their research is left private only to those in the organization.

SYMPTOMS

Ecko presents its self with a very small catalogue of symptoms.

The most immediate recognizable one is those with wings. Not all those infected with Ecko have wings, in fact very few do but in terms of immediately visual symptoms its the most obvious. The wings of Ecko do not follow any pattern from other birds that have been compared to, instead it seems to follow a completely unique genetic pattern.

Another symptom that appears visually is faster growth, specifically in the hair and nails, as well as the skin peeling and replacing its self more often than the average humans. Leading to ecko's commonly having longer hair, at least shoulder length.

The most famous symptom of Ecko however is Ecko abilities. Ecko abilities seem to follow only a few rules based on large scale research project. 1. It effects other people. in one way or another it can effect other people weather it be physically or mentally. 2. breaks what was thought to be the laws of the universe. Weather it be time, space or gravity it doesn't physically make sense. 3. every one effected with Ecko has one. Once it starts showing symptoms of Ecko this is the First symptom that seems to pop up. Ecko abilities can range from teleporting to shape shifting, immunity to poisons or spontaneously growing plants.

Yet another symptom of Ecko Is caused by the Ecko hormone. An odorless air born "scent" that activates negative emotions in anyone not infected with Ecko. IT does not affect those who already have Ecko but it has been said they can "sense" when another Ecko is nearby.

Ecko particles is a proposed part of Ecko that is meant to explain Ecko abilities. That Ecko particles are the things that break reality and they travel out with the Ecko hormones and are what makes the Ecko ability to work.

CAUSES

Ecko is generally considered to be transmuted from parent to child during pregnancy in a hereditary fashion. Though it is not always identified at birth, it is not seen by any reputable organization as being able to be infected later in life. Not always do the symptoms have to be showing in either parent if just one of them is a carrier then it is possible for the child to have Ecko, or they will at the very least be a carrier. Many people, mostly hysterics and paranoid people, like to claim that it is infectious and that its possible to start showing symptoms later in life, without ever having Ecko. However there is no evidence for such a thing, at least that has any reputability on it.

ORIGINS

The true origin of Ecko is unknown, it has been around for hundreds of years and the begin of it is impossible to find. In the Order of the Black Crow they believed that it was a curse placed on people from the goddess Eckallo, which is how it gained its modern day name on "Ecko"
