Vampires Curse

Hundreds of years ago, there was a disease that spread like wildfire through Amera that came to be known as the Vampires Curse. Vampires Curse disease started as a disease in crows, often making them loose feathers and in some cases loose all color in their bodies and feathers. Many people believe, the disease spread to humans via a dead bird in the water supply but some superstitious people believe someone angered a vampire or some sort of curse that was placed on the world for their sins. The disease was first recorded in Sareah, then spread to other kingdoms in the area until the entire continent was infected. The disease has three clear stages,
Stage one: this stage is infection, the disease spreads through water and their are many ways one could have gotten it, even when being extremely careful. This stage consists of shortness of breath, coughing and excess sweat. At this stage the disease is easily transmitted.

Stage two: This stage is when it starts to become more severe. coughing blood, weakness and trouble swallowing , and loss of eyesight. As well as the previous symptoms, this is where it started to gain the name the vampires curse.

Stage three: Stage three is on deaths doorstep, loss of color, turning completely white, burning immediately in the sun, trouble breathing , problems seeing, and all the other symptoms as well. By the time they get to this stage they cannot be saved.

At the time the technology in Amera was not nearly enough to cure the disease, it ran its course through the land until it people gained immunity and it withered away. Accounts of disease vary greatly, mostly from people at the time that kept journals. Very few places kept good enough records to pull from.
