You met your untimely death in your hometown. Is this the end? Are you now going to the afterlife? Fortunately and unfortunately, no. The gods need your help and they transport you into the world of Eberron. All you know is that a great evil will be unleashed in exactly 1 year's time and you must stop this evil before it destroys the multiverse as you know it, all while you must explore this new world and learn its new nations, monsters, and the way it works. Will you make it in time to save the multiverse, or will you be too late and have to witness as the material plane gets ripped apart before your very eyes. At least you would get a front-row seat!
