The Mockery

The Mockery, originally named Dol Azur, is the Sovereign of Betrayal and Bloodshed. Whereas his siblings will show you how to fight with honour and bravery, the Mockery espouses victory at any cost. He will drag you through the muck, and drive you to betray your principles and do things that horrify you, your allies and your enemies alike, but at the end of the day you'll be alive, and they won't.   The Pyrinean Creed condemns the Mockery as a monster, a villain who encourages the use of cruelty and deceit.   The Cazhaak Creed argues that the tactics encouraged by the Mockery are the only way to overcome a superior foe, that courage and honour are a privilege of the strong, and that for the weak, survival and victory is all that matters. Furthermore, they assert that the very idea of "honour in war" is ridiculous, the results of violence are always pain, terror, and eventually death. Violence, and war, is an ugly thing, and only the Mockery acknowledges this whilst Dol Arrah and Dol Dorn glorify it and pretend it is noble.   The Mockery is the brother of Dol Arrah and Dol Dorn, and is often depicted as ghastly human warrior that has been stripped of his skin, and is wearing the skins of his enemies, or as a red dragon.
