Personal history

Marten started his life out in the city of Making. He lived a relatively normal life, as much as could be expected. He lazily made his way through high school, under performing, finding more interest in the outside world. The city called to him. The grease, the grime, decay, secrecy, in fascinated him. Thusly, straight out of school, he got a job, and started exploring. He went all over the city, looking for anything that might catch his eye. He struggled to sell his reports to local news sources though. He is a strong writer, and seeks only to expose the truth. Frustrated, he turned to Prometheus. He created a site, sought out anonymity, and began his work. Reporting all of his own stories, on his terms. Tirelessly reporting and sneaking around where he shouldn't. If the Kings in Queens lording over us peeons from their ivory towers had a secret, Marten was going to find it, and he was going to tell us all about it, with photo evidence. The authorities have had their eye out for the notorious "fR1NG3" for a decade now. It seems though that Marten has put his hand in the wrong pot this time, literally and figuratively. His last job he found himself narrowly escaping security with a vile of some viscous material... Unfortunately, the vial ruptured in his pocket, and the liquid is everywhere.. the evidence is gone. "Fuck.." Now, finding himself in the Undercity in hiding, our bold reporter finds himself stumbling over his new comrade W.A.S.H as he inadvertently kicked the lil guy on his way through the thick dense air. They quickly hit it off and decided they would rather make their way indoors for the night, so they made their way to Marten's childhood friend Ryuji's place for the night. The next morning he wakes up to a text from Fang... "I'm cashing in Marten, meet at the The Grove."

Marten graduated highschool but pursued no further education.

Marten tried to work for some local news sources, but has found all his success as his own boss, running his site - "BurnTheHousesDown"
