Viridios - God of Rebirth

VIRIDIOS

Known As: God of Rebirth, The Gatekeeper

Viridios is a primordial god of Eashar alongside Cernussus, Danu, Belenus and Ernmas. Viridios is considered to be the God of Rebirth - responsible for the formation of the various afterlifes and alternate planes of existence. As Ernmas began to craft the concept of death, Viridios mused on what happened beyond death for mortal beings. He is often portrayed as a scholar or philosopher and credited with the creation of the 'soul' of mortal creatures.
Similar to Ermas, though creator of concepts considered dark and fearful, Viridios is often discussed as a God of profound compassion for all beings. It was with this compassion that Viridios joined the Morrigu in the War of the Gods and earned a reputation as fierce warrior and dynamic leader, capable of winning support from many of the deities, demi-gods and mortal beings.
Little is known of Viridios. It is suggested in some ancient texts that writings on the Tree of Shadows was intentionally erased or restricted by its lineage - an attempt to prevent worship and understanding of concepts beyond mortal minds.
