Ernmas - The Dark Mother (Ern-mas)

ERNMAS

Known As: The Dark Mother, God of Shadows, The Veiled Queen

Ernmas is a primodrial god of Eashar and sibling to Cernussus, Danu, Belenus and Viridious. Enrmas is known as the Dark Mother and one of the founders of the Tree of Shadows. Although her lineage is associated with mystery, fear and darkness, the Dark Mother is considered to be a gentle god - with a close bond to Danu. The sisters share an understanding of the importance of each others work and how the mortality that Ermas created only allows the work of Danu to shine the brighter. Many of the prayers said to bring life, joy and happiness include tributes to both Danu and Ermas equally.
Alongside Viridious, Ermas created the three-headed sisters of death, the Morrigu, who many scholars muse are responsible for the idea of 'meaning' in life. The Morrigu eventually led one side of the War of the Gods and were supported but not aided by Ernmas.
