Eostre - Goddess of Spring (Es-tra)

EOSTRE

Known As: Goddess of Spring, Lifebringer
Eostre is the celestial Goddess of Spring and prominent member of the Sun Tree lineage. As patron of the spring, Eostre is naturally celebrated throughout the year but most prominently during the time of harvest, in the hopes of a good yield for the coming year. Additionally Eostre is associated with childbirth & fertility.    As the mother of the Deviant Gods, Eostre was the only celestial of the Sun Tree to side with the Tuatha de Danaan during the War of the Gods. With the destruction rent on the earth during the war, Eostre became deathly week - often unable to wake for years at a time. This led to almost permanent winter across Eashar and the extinction of many of the original races of Eashar.   With the death of her son, Cer'wen, at the hands of her sister, Dian-cecht, Eostre manifested her remaining power to curse her sister, the Goddess of Life, stating that all children that come forth from her womb would live exactly 200 days before perishing...
