Known as: The Earth Mother, Goddess of the Sun, Lifebringer

Danu is one of the primordial gods of Eashar, alongside her siblings Cernussus, Belenus, Ernmus & Viridios. Known as the Earth Mother, Danu is associated with the nurturing of all life throughout Eashar. While other mays have formed the various races and beings, it was through Danu that they were given the environment to survive and thrive during the chaos of creation. She is considerd the founder, with Belenus, of the Sun Tree lineage. Danu was naturally drawn to her brother, Belenus - God of the Sun, whose light would help her to cultivate the life of Eashar. Her position is the pantheon of the Gods means her influence over the denizens of the world has endured throughout the various ages. She is worshipped by almost all beings and is always said to have held esteem with all the primordials, even through the War of the Gods. Shrines to Danu are found throughout Eashar and are frequented by those who wish for health, safety and love. Danu was also known as a fierce warrior, though that is less emphasised by those who pray to her. With the power to bring life, equally comes to ability to end it and though she rarely flexed such power, she is said to have struck down powerful creations of pure destruction. The most prominent of these is said to be her destruction of Uth'Linn the God of Decay, whom she long hated, during the War of the Gods. It is said that her sword swung with such power as to cleave the world in two - creating the formation known as the Straits of Xadar, while killing Uth'Linn. The death of an immortal terrified the other Gods and it became the beginning of the end of the War...because what God has ever comprehended death for itself?
