Founded in the image of New York and Tokyo, in the name of bringing two sides of the planet together, New-Yokyo is a bustling metropolis. Considered by many to be the main hub of trade and technology; New-Yokio hosts the headquarters of it's founding Mega-Corp,
Whoogle. The other Mega-Corps also have offices here, however, they have no political or social control over the city. These offices merely serve as a base of operations for business dealings in the immediate region.
Government
While technically governed by the NUN, it is clear to the people of the city who is really in control here. No policy is made, or law passed, without the explicit approval of Whoogle. The streets are policed by drones operated by Whoogle's Guardian
Security Division.
Business
If it's new, and it's tech related, it probably started in New-Yokyo. You can find all manner of gadgets and bio-tech upgrades here for a reasonable price. While the Mega-Corps undertake R&D and sign contracts in their corporate offices made of bulletproof glass, people in the streets of New-Yokyo deal trade corporate secrets for new hardware.
