Earth (NovaWave Universe)

In the background of an Earth identical to ours, events have been pushing ideas, concepts and political forward. Empires rise and fall because of these small influences from these outside sources. Each of these sources, luckily, can be neatly put into groups. Several events in history can be explained because of these events and people.   The 1st influence of the world is that of a man named 'Z'wake'. He used to be really important, where he came from. Wherever that may be. Throughout history, from the Roman Ages to the Roaring Twenties, he has been pulling strings and manipulating politics. By the end of his life, he married and impregnated a British girl, then promptly died. He never mentioned his true heritage to her.   The 2nd influence is that of The Brotherhood. Founded in 1869, it is one of the oldest and most prominent secret societies on the planet. Known under many names such as The Secret Syndicate and the Illuminati, it comprises of the most rich and powerful criminals of all time. Each of them has the same goal; to accumulate wealth, fame and power on a global scale. Notable members of The Brotherhood includes Al Capone, Pablo Escobar, John Wilkes Booth, Pope Pius IX, and many more.   The 3rd influence is that of the underground and secretive mystic parts of the globe. Each culture and location has their own kinds of magical beings and users. Magic is a learned practice and not an inherited trait, anyone can use it if you have the skills and talents. Sorcery is used all throughout the cosmos, so Earth's witches and wizards have created a global union of magic users to contain threats of cosmic scale against the Earth.
