Earth 2050

In the year 2050, Earth has seen the rise of artificial intelligence and the effects of overpopulation have finally caught up with its inhabitants. Fiberware, the company who creates all of the AI, has been a powerhouse since the 2020s and has just kept increasing production. Almost all of the younger generations who have been born with the AI are in favor of utilizing their capabilities but those who have lived without the machines believe they will take over. The population has continued to increase and, though there have been technological advancements, the world is suffering from extreme overpopulation with no plan to get out of it. The poverty rate has grown significantly making "stacks" a popular option for long term living. Stacks are small, cubic living spaces that have the bare essentials for a person to live. They can stack on top of each other and are incredibly space efficient. Space research has been a primary goal recently and using AI the government is able to take risks that they couldn't before.
