Necromancer

Necromancer is a character subclass of Wizard. Necromancy is technically more related to the school of Evocation (hence the -mancy suffix), but it has been culturally disassociated with that school. The powers of Necromancers align well with those of Black Shamans and White Shamans, relating to the very balance between life and death itself.

Forgemaster Feats

Master level feats are only available after level 10. You cannot multiclass master level feats.
  • Creatures of the Night — At level 10, if you don't already, add Summon Greater Demon and Summon Lesser Demon to your spell slots, if you have room. You can now bind these demons to forms created from organic tissue, melding them in almost any way you wish, given that you have enough starting material of the desired type. The creature has 1.5 times the hit points of the demon when it was summoned. It takes six hours to perform this binding.
  • Flattery with the Secret Arts — At level 12, using your forgemaster skills, you can now meld living beings into vessels for demons. First, you must bind a demon to a blade (using Summon Lesser/Greater Demon), which takes 2 hours. For this to work, the living being must be at one half or fewer hit points than the demon summoned (so, for instance, if the demon has 18 hit points, the vessel must be at 9 hit points or less).
  • Unwanted Revival — At level 14, you master Resurrection in its entirety. When you cast the spell, you can resurrect a dead creature that has been dead for no more than a millennia. You can resurrect some Undead if they are not sealed. You can also resurrect souls which are unwilling, as long as they are not sealed. These special resurrections are much more difficult and require extreme concentration. The casting time is 8 hours. Note that creatures brought back in this manner may have been driven mad, and unable to communicate; as well, they may be difficult or impossible to control. You can only perform this resurrection if the creature is under your current level.
  • Impure World Reincarnation — At level 16, provided you have material from the being and a second being of approximately the same dimensions, species, material, challenge level, etc., you can reincarnate the dead being into the body of the living one by sacrificing the soul of the living body in exchange for the one you wish to reincarnate. The reincarnation requires twelve hours of preparation, including the binding and summoning. Once the reincarnation is complete, you can control the individual as an action (leaving yourself vulnerable) or you can allow their original consciousness to keep control. If their hit points become zero, they revive automatically in 24 hours. They can only be permanently destroyed by being sealed. Their souls return to the afterlife within seven days. You can only perform this resurrection if the creature is under your current level. Additionally, you can put the summoning to sleep in a coffin, and summon that coffin (which takes an action or 15 minutes) to your current location if normal earthen ground is present. This can only be performed on the material plane.
  • Curse of Darkness — At level 18, you can absorb the soul of any living monster of a level lower than your own. The entity being absorbed must by at one half its HP or less, and can make a dexterity saving throw to avoid being captured (they must score more than 15 to avoid being captured). You can summon that soul, and use its powers as your own (although you also gain its weaknesses). It takes one action to perform the summoning. You lose access to your own powers during the summoning, until you take to action to desummon the soul.
  • Power over Death — At level 20, you gain the ability to create a crimson stone after absorbing between 20 and 50 souls. This brings you the favor of the embodiment of Death, who will bring you back to life in exchange for a crimson stone. Additionally, in return for 10 souls, Death will provide you their scythe for five minutes, or two actions.
