Creculum

Creculum, the God of space, the dusk, and the dawn. He is usually depicted as a giant dark owl which wings are a window to the Everspace. Creculum was created with the rest of The Ancient Pantheon, and is a part of the pantheon. Not as commonly worshipped as some of the major Gods, Creculum often takes a more "hands-on" approach when it comes to his followers and does not grant his powers so easily. Creculum is the guardian of the mortal realm and serves as a border between the land and the Everspace. keeping the land of Eagsain safe from the terrors of the night as the day's labors end and the hours of rest begins - the workers of towns who light the lanterns when dawn comes usually murmur a small prayer to Creculum when the darkness comes. Creculum hears and answers silently. Creculum is also called "The Silent God" due to his rather subtle ways of reaching out to mortals, in contrast to his massive contributions to the task of protecting the physical realm. The Creculum symbol is an owl with its wings open, showing the space.

History

since the days of the elves, when gods were finally seen as true, Creculum wasn't worshiped a lot. Creculum always preferred to choose his champions individually rather than being a deity that's able to be worshipped by everyone.   Creculum used to be much more powerful than he is now. After The New Pantheon started to obtain power over the world, his position was challenged by his sister - Noxire of The New Pantheon. Noxire wanted the fight, yet Creculum knew that such a fight will cause great damage to the mortal realm. He attempted to fight using his avatar which was much weaker, while his true form remained to protect the mortal realm. Because he couldn't truly fight, Peryite was grievously wounded by his sister and was believed to have died from his wounds. Noxire rose to be the new protector.   After their battle, Creculum was indeed fatally hurt, and so came the only solution - he had to split his own being and consciousness into multiple others in order to survive the blow dealt to him by his own sister. These consciousnesses resided within his most powerful worshippers and followers, if they were willing to accept. During Noxire's rise to power Creculum's followers eventually found one another, with the ones who had Creculum’s fragments forming a council, naming themselves “The Fragmented”.   As Noxire established her position, The Fragmented were already working towards restoring Creculum to his former glory, mostly by gathering followers around them and forming alliances with other forces, mainly the The High Order Of Magic.   The fragmented initiated a ceremony with the Order of high magic, that weakened Noxire greatly, which might have led to some creations from the Everspace to penetrating Eagsain. The other thing the ceremony did, was using the fragments in the heads of the fragmented to unit Creculum again, in the process 12 out of the 23 fragmented died. the reborn Creculum used the opportunity to strike with immense force, harnessing the power of the moonrealm (as it was a full moon) to his aid. Strengthened by his worshippers, supporters, and The Fragmented themselves, he attacked and (quite literally) rained hellfire on Noxire, using his razor-sharp feathers to pierce through Nocturnal’s defenses. Noxire fled back to Celest, where she remained.   The fragmented that was left, even though losing the great powers that were given by having a piece of a god in you, still had parts of Creculum in their blood. Creculum remnants kept running down the council’s bloodline, and it is said that the people who do possess such fragment of consciousness if chosen to follow Creculums guidance and his ways, would become immensely powerful.   The fragmented council was later absorbed into the High Order Of Magic.
