Dyzfir

A world built on necromancy and steam, Dyzfir is dominated by the Highblood Empire and Madillan Republic which war to lay claim to the world. In the shadows of these powers lurk rebels of all stripes plotting to tear them down. The Great Beings who once shaped land and sea to their will have been pushed to the very periphery, with dragons declared extinct, giants unseen for centuries, and krakens and shellfiends forgotten about save in obscure academic writings and mythology.
At the heart of the world, the Fellstorm boils, a gloomy and violent vortext that hums with the sheer weight of Mana in the air. At dusk, the sun is pulled into it until it breaks free again at dawn. Periodically, the Mana of the Fellstorm bursts free in a nightmarish, howling gale known as the Blackwind. The Blackwind travels across the landscape, rushing toward the edge of the world and shedding Mana as it moves. The landscape has adapted to the rush of the Blackwind and grown in response to the cycle of Mana.
