Starting Level

Death, retirement, or buying an off the plan apartment. There are a variety of reasons why a character may need to be replaced in the campaign.

If this is the first time you are playing in the campaign with a character, you should build that character to the average level of the party. On subsequent times you are joining the party with a new character, you should build that character to one level below the average party level.
