Wakanga O'tamu is the only magician among the merchant-princes. He's something of a dandy who's easily seduced by smart women and entertains several of which in his monthly salons.
Wakanga deals in lore, potions, and scrolls. Wakanga has a monopoly on these items in Port Nyanzaru, but while he's eager to share his largesse in terms of hospitality, he still needs to run a business and only takes hard coin and gemstones.
Since his meeting with Lord Commodore, he has become obsessed with journeying to the stars. Refining the recipe for gunpowder purchased from the Giff , he has created rockets of varying size and complexity.
He enjoys fine food, breeding al-miraj, and making ice cream. His familiar, a flying monkey named Ham, is always by his side.
