Omu

An ancient Chultan kingdom, rival to the kingdom of Mezro. Omu was the home of the Eshowe peoples, a nation of half-elves native to Chult.
Omu was ruled by the Twin Dynasties, a curious system wherein succession is granted only to twins. The two ruled jointly until one died, the surviving twin abdicating in favor of new pair of twins chosen by a riddle contest conducted by the priesthood.
In latter times, the Twin Dynasties became purely ceremonial, with the true power being held by a pair of Potentates who ruled on their behalf.
Omu grew powerful in its last days, but its hunger for slaves put them in conflict with the Great Kingdom of Mezro.
