Lord Markan Slyeye

Lord Markan Slyeye is a lord of western sitam. He represents the philosophies and ideals of the western sitam frontier that being freedom, self-reliance, and family values. Because of this, his province has a massive reformist population, and he is one. He is a quite eccentric man who focuses more on the strength of his subjects then ruling them through law and traditional means. Due to this West Sitam soldiers have a reputation to be unruly but incredibly hardy and fast soldiers when thrown in the fray.
Lord Markan Slyeye like all western sitam governors was chosen by High King Alaric as a favor for his father Olav Slyeye casting his vote for Alaric. Due to this appointment, and being given it to him, he has an intense loyalty to Alaric until he feels like he finally deserved the position. However, Markan is smarter and less of a showboat then the typical Goliath and knows that Alaric is a king worthy to serve under.
