Singularity's Apotheosis

The Singularity’s Apotheosis visually resembles a traditional firearm, outside of its distinctive barrel. It’s ammunition and firing action are anything but ordinary: rather than firing bullets, this weapon fires miniature, unstable black holes.   The Apotheosis chambers a multi-stage warhead, compacted down to the size of a typical cartridge. Each stage contains a hyper-dense Osmium concentrate, which passes through a series of gravity emitters similar to those used on a hover vehicle. The stages of the cartridge are collapsed into an even denser state, each segment briefly flaring into a miniature black hole. The resulting implosion propels the leading black hole at nearly the speed of light.   Upon striking a target, the now-collapsed round will pull in any surrounding matter within a roughly twenty centimeter radius – armor, weaponry, and even troops are not immune to the effects of the Apotheosis’ round. Due to the unusual nature of black holes, the area impacted undergoes a brief dimming and redshift, before disappearing entirely. Upon evaporation of the black hole, there is a sudden surge in thermal radiation and outpouring of unique-signature rejectonite.   Notes: The egg-heads asked me to take a few shots with the gun; I don’t think it was a prank, but geez, the thing has enough recoil that it could take your arm off. You either need an augmentation arm, or have to be an Automata to properly control the thing, the kickback is so great. When it connects, though, this gun is beastly – it punched a hole in anything I fired it at, including a sample of dreadnought armor. The weirdest, though, was when I shot a test dummy, and the entire upper half was gobbled up and disappeared into a single point of darkness.
