Torpol Deep Sea Settlements

Recent technological advancements have led to large floating platforms in the deeper areas of the Ocean world. Controversy has arisen from the planet of Thallasa who clain the fungus which is used to allow the platforms to float on the water were bioengineered by them and stolen by pirates. The administrators of Torpol refuse this and state that a sample of the fungus was anonymously donated to the planet and that after experimenting with it they enhanced the bouyancy of the material and made it more stable then the Thallasian platforms. In the decade since this discovery there have been hundreds of platforms built across the planet.
