Goblins

Goblins are one of the most unique looking ancestries of people. Their skin tone is somewhere between a pale sickly green to a deep grey green. They boast wide heads, pointed ears, flat faces, and shard fang-like teeth. They have much stronger stomachs that nearly every other ancestry as well. They are short, about as tall as Halflings, but erring a bit shorter. Goblins are EVERYWHERE in Halcadia, but the three largest nations of Goblins are in the southern reaches of Archura, the Southern tip of Aquaria, and the island of Halfax, off the coast of Zenosia. Goblins from one nation rarely look any more different from their own people than those of another Goblin Nation.   Goblins who live in the cities have taken to tending to the more unsavory shops. Those that deal in odd foods or alchemy for example. In fact, Alchemist's Fire was invented by a goblin named Chard Nonose. He was attempting to create a liquid fertilizer when he introduced brimstone into liquefied guano, resulting in a large green flame erupting and burning off his nose, hence his name. He began to experiment and found that if you prevent the introduction of air to the mixture, it would not ignite spontaneously and would remain stable if kept in a sealed glass vial. Goblins are also responsible for the plumbing system most cities use. They were tired of the streets around their large communal homes being flooded with excrement, so they created a place to store it, under the city. They accidentally dug too far and found the river, which caused their latrines to be empty by the time they needed to use it again, thus the sewer system was created.   Goblins who live in the countryside are equally inquisitive and have been responsible for creating a ton of ingenious contraptions to assist in rural living. The drawn plow, created by a goblin who couldn't quite get the leverage he needed to plow his fields for wheat harvesting. One goblin got the idea to jack cider, thus creating the first liquor. Those and untold other creations are all the result of a goblin being a little too curious, almost maiming themselves, and making something so brilliant, only a fool would refuse to use it. Rural goblins also have the reputation as being capable of taming monsters, something only a fool, or someone with a death wish would try to do.   Goblins have had their fair share of prejudice as well, their odd shape and often off-putting appetite have made many people to fear goblins as little monsters, but they are Kin the same as any other person.
