Indigo-Violet Bloods

Fourth on the Blood Tier, the Indigo-Violet Bloods are slightly less populous than the Red Bloods and live slightly longer, They are a transition from the lower tier to the middle tier. The Indigo-Violets are one of the few Blood Tiers that lack any blood color variation. They have two sets of horns, albeit the 2nd horn is much smaller than the 1st, and the Indigo-Violet's have the largest Horn Size difference ratio of the Blood Teirs. In fact, if their hair is styled a certain way, their second horn can be covered up easily. They are tall and "spindly" people and are very flexible. They have 4-fingered wings, with the finger on the very end being incredibly small, and lacking any membrane between it and the 2nd finger. They have small bone protrusions on the end of each finger but lack a bone at the top where they all connect. They also lack a finger at where the radius and the ulna sesamoid meet. They have thin tails that are flexible enough to grasp objects, and can even act like a "third arm," that's able to grasp and fight with weapons. Their tails lack spikes, except at the very top, where there are a couple of very small spikes. They commonly stand on the balls of their feet, which are padded more than the other classes but have less of an angle between their dew-claw and the ground. Their fingers and toes are slightly longer, and they have a dew-claw on their area where their heel would be. The Indigo-Violet Bloods are known to have larger wings than most of the other Blood Tiers and are excellent flyers.   The Indigo-Violet bloods were not always on the lower end of the spectrum. Before the time of the Unifying Conquers, they were right under the Purple Bloods in the Blood Caste, making them almost royalty. However, they turned against the Purple Bloods shortly into the war, attempting to take the chaos caused by the Unifying Conquers to overthrow the Emperise and become the sole ruling class. After the war, for their treachery and attempt to get rid of Void's Greatest Grandchildren, they had their position lowered and were cursed to be forever restless, never staying in one place for too long, and always craving a way to return to their former position. This causes the Blood Caste system to be the way it is today, with the Pink Blood's taking their place. Because of this, the Indigo-Bloods became wanderers and adventurers. This can range from the exploration of ruins for ancient artifacts to the exploration of libraries for knowledge. It isn't uncommon for Indigo-Violet blooded children to be restless and unable to stay still, or for them to be missing a parent, or for Indigo-Violet Families to move around a lot. This also makes Indigo-Violet Bloods avid collectors of whatever they like. It isn't uncommon for the homes of Indigo-Violet Bloods to be filled with assorted object collections. Rocks, bugs, sands, leaves, stamps, whatever can be collected, there is certainly an Indigo-Violet Blood who has or is currently collecting it.   Indigo-Violet bloods have an extreme amount of prominence in the BUC era, especially during the Unifying Conquers. Formally being a rich and powerful kingdom, right under the Purple Bloods. Too blue to be apart of the purple blooded royal family, but to purple to be a blue-blood, the Indigo-Violets yearned to be official royalty. During the Unifying Conquers, in which they were originally allied with the purple bloods, they seized the chaos that resulted from the war to try and overthrow the Purple Bloods and become the Royal Blood Tier. However, this backfired on them horribly, as Void sent their Black Blooded Prophet (who was helping Marxious the 1st Great King) a vision warning them of this betrayal. The Indigo-Violet Bloods put up a fair fight, but were soundly defeated, and would remain so for the rest of the war. After the war, the Black Blooded Prophet, drawing upon Void's own power, gave the Indigo-Violet's their sentence; they would be cast down from their position, their lives shortened, their horns taken, and be forever restless, searching for a way to regain their former royalty. Void, however, was slightly forgiving: instead of placing them at the very bottom of the Blood Caste, they placed them right above the Red Bloods, essentially making them the "lower middle class." In the AUC era, the Indigo-Violet's are revered for their fearlessness and ability to explore any area or ruin. A lot of great discoveries are made by Indigo-Violet Bloods, who not only enjoy exploring ruins for the sake of the mysteries it holds and the adrenaline they get from just trying to get to them, but for the knowledge that they hold within.
