There exists a small country encircled by the Dragon Spine mountains with no other known territories beyond. The little kingdom inhabitants segregate themselves by trade into an assortment of craft villages with two days of every week devoted to trade.   At the center of the kingdom stand two large properties, the Market Manor and the adjacent Witches Wellspring. One brings the inhabitants together while the other separates them.   Society is mostly one of equality though there is a ruling family, who arbitrate over the Trades Counsel and help to regulate the law of the land. Also on the Council is one member elected from each craft village to represent their interests.   Due to a race of carnivorous fey who prey on children - Infants are named for sounds to disguise them. After about a decade with their parents, children head off for their journey-years. Youth are nameless Journeyfolk during this time and travel the kingdom spending some time in each trade village learning the basics of the skills. Traditionally journey years take 12 years to complete (one year in each village) at which time the youth is granted an adult name and settles in the trade village of their choosing. Occasionally a youth is particularly gifted or called into a particular trade and advances faster into their adult calling.   The Trades are Stone, Clay, Metal, Skins, Spun, Harvest, Keepers, Protectors, Carers, Musers, Lumber, and 2 more.
