This is an alternate history to our world, where dragons and magic exist alongside technology. But the criminal underground of San Agrippina has learned to take advantage of that, and genetically engineered dragons are being used to hold the city hostage. Now Quinn and Jack, a swords-woman and a magical prodigy, have to save the city, with the help of their own less-than-impressive dragon, Chip.
