Drachara

Drachara is a land that has long forgotten its origins of dragons and demons. It is a land split down the middle between the old empires of Zephyra and Caydrassa. The peoples live in the shadow of a great war that devastated both empires almost 400 years ago from which they have never truly recovered. Recently, however, in Caydrassa's new capital city of Astropolis, an industrial revolution has sprung, bringing magical and technological advancements never before seen to the world. At the same time, criminals run rampant, and the government is controlled by a corrupt nobility of mages. Magical secrets are hoarded by the wealthy, while the poor of the city are exploited and abused. The few remaining heroes of the world struggle to navigate what's right and what's wrong, and how to cure the ails of this great city.   Author Note: For this project, I focused on developing Caydrassa and its people, with a particular focus on Astropolis. Because of this, many of the pages related to Zephyra will be relatively bare, and there is little detail associated with them.   Also, feel free to explore however you want! However, if you're looking for direction to get started, I would recommend starting with the contextual essay, then moving to the location pages, then finally to the culture pages. That should give you a pretty good understanding of the world to move on to the rest of the site!
