The choices for your character stem from the primary occupations that have arisen in the aftermath. It is recommended that you use these in the setting.
Ways of the Dealer
If there is a need to negotiate, the Dealer makes the connection, seals the deal, and arranges the details. This role tends to be the "Talker', the "face" of the group. For a dealer, it is all about leverage
Ways of the Gunner
If it's a weapon, a Gunner can shoot it, wield it, repair it, and modify it, the Gunner is usually the group's bouncer. He or she is a 'slinger, a weapons specialist, even a martial artist. For a Gunner, it is all about Firepower.
Ways of the Wrench
If there are wheels on it, a Wrench can fix it, repair it, and modify it. This role is usually also the primary driver, since knowing all about a vehicle means knowing its performance characteristics. For a Wrench, it is all about Horsepower
Ways of the Splicer
If it has an electric current running through it, a Splicer can activate it, decrypt it, and hack it. This role tends to be the group's behind-the-scenes eyes and ears and pulls their collective fat outta the fire. For a Splicer, it is all about the Signal.
Ways of the Scrounge
If it isn't nailed down, the scrounge can lift it, snatch it, secure it, and "borrow" it. The Scrounge tends to be the materials resource when everything is in the dumper. For a Scrounge, it is all about "acquisition".
Way of the Scholar
If there is a trivial or critical need to know, the Scholar knows it, or can find out. Scholars fill the role of advisor, mastermind, data mine, and interpreter. If anyone in the group could be a surgeon, it would have to be the Scholar. For a Scholar, it is all about brainpower.etting
