Way of the Splicer

it has wires attached, can search the world wide web, or has blinky lights that shine green, red, and blue, you probably can make it work again. Like a living thing, you get your jollies bringing electronic and electric things back to life. Maybe your family trained you in the ancient arts and the skills of the schematics. Maybe the tinny metal boxes are just like the sound of your voice. At any rate, the two-bit trick that makes toast out of sunlight won’t get you to the big city, and even if you were well-appointed there, you are probably happier just jimmying an electric lock or getting the music box to play “Sweet Caroline” one more time. So find yourself a gearhead with too much more money than sense, offer your services to a scholar who needs to do some ‘Sperimenting, or just hide away in a rig at the local outpost until something important goes out and they need you. Then in a flash of sparks, they will know your worth, and you can earn your pay the easy way, laying low and looking at wires, like you always wanted anyway.

Computineer

– Specialists in understanding how computers, technology, and robotics work the Computineer is a wonder with devices, gizmos, and gadgets. So technically minded they are of no earthly good, they are important when the Cadre requires specialism worthy of their skills. Computineers keep the wheels of commerce – and the core of the Interwebs - turning. (Splicers can aspire to the role of Computineer if their skills and personality fit better with devices and robotics than with people.)
