Thorn

Thorn is a military outpost on the coast of Severos. it has occupied this position as a base for both the Severosi nation and for the Imperium after it was subsumed. it began as a place for the warlords of the tribes could meet and resolve disputes. its position as a port town soon enabled it to support the horseborne warriors in raiding cities across the coasts. Over the years it became more heavily defended and more influential in the region. Those that are born and raised here are quickly drilled into Militia that are put to the test both against the spirits of the plains and against any human threats that might emerge from those wastes. In the modern era it has retained its importance as a port and military base, although the presence is now more dominated by organisations like the Imperial Military rather than The Silver Nails and other mercenary bands. The city is also noted for having one small Leviathan hunter operation out of the city. This is only as a matter of pride, as it is a venerable ship that has always been affiliated with the city.
